E-Petitions
The Council welcomes e-petitions which are created and submitted through its e-petition website. In general, e-petitions must follow the same guidelines as paper petitions. Details of which are set out in the
Council’s Petitions Scheme.
E-petitions enable petitions to be available live on the council’s internet, rather than just on paper. This way, petitions and supporting information can be made available to a wider audience.
Petitions on the same subject can be submitted in both paper and via e-petition although any repeat names will be removed. Both forms should run for the same period of time and must be submitted to the council together. In this respect when submitting an e-petition request, please let us know if you are also running a paper petition in order that we can highlight this on our website.
You will need to either register or login to the Council's epetition system before creating a petition and our step by step guide will help you. This is a web site supplied by a third party and not the Council and as such the data is controlled and can be viewed by this third party.
