Background Information:
A motion to full council of Cornwall Council as follows:
 
 “In view of its far reaching consequences, including its potential impact on
Council governance and elected Member accountability, this Council
believes that it is not in the best interests of the people of Cornwall for the
Council to enter into the proposed Strategic Partnership for Support
Services"
 
This motion was supported by the majority of the council present by 46 votes for, 29 against and 14 abstensions.
 
Cabinet has now indicated that it will continue with the proposal in spite of the views of the democratic majority of those Councillors at the Full Council meeting.

We, the undersigned, call on Cornwall Council to reverse its decision to proceed with a Strategic Partnership for Shared Services until such time the majority of the elected members of Cornwall Council have voted to support the proposals
